Our Company

Profile

We produce measurement devices dedicated for soil moisture, temperature, salinity and soil capillary pressure. Our devices were also used for moisture measurement of wood, concrete and other materials. We design and produce customized integrated systems for moisture monitoring and control, like field monitoring station and precise irrigation control systems. Most of our clients are science institutions doing research in hydrology, agriculture, various fields of soil and environmental science, plant science and other disciplines.

Our expertise lies in:
  • design and development of microwave systems and picosecond electronic systems,
  • design, development and manufacturing of electronic systems with embedded microcontrollers and DSP units,
  • development of firmware and software for microwave systems,
  • research, development and commercialisation of prototype devices, sensors and measurement solutions.

Recently, our research and development activities concentrate on developing an improved FOM/mts field TDR meter and the development of dielectric sensors for use in environment monitoring, agriculture and food science and processing. The research is performed in cooperation with the Bohdan Dobrzański Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, within the scope of two R&D projects funded by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).

Some History

E-Test Sp. z o.o. was founded in 2010 as a spin-out company for the purpose of commercialization of soil moisture, temperature and salinity TDR devices developed at the Bohdan Dobrzański Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin, Poland. Our measurement solutions were developed on the base of original research of Professors Marek A. Malicki, Ryszard Walczak and Wojciech Skierucha of the Institute of Agrophysics. The principle of operation of the TDR device with 300 ps needle pulse rise-time was presented in (Malicki & Skierucha, 1989). Early versions of TDR meters were manufactured and sold by the Institute under Easy Test trade brand.

Since that time, TDR electronic sytems have been redesigned and smaller, more accurate devices have been developed. Recent soil moisture, salinity and temperature measurement system was presented in (Skierucha et al., 2012).
